Benefits Open Enrollment

October 16-November 3, 2023

For Current Employees

The information on this page is for active employees. If you are a retiree, please view the Retiree Open Enrollment website.

Open Enrollment for 2024 benefit elections has closed.

Confirmation of Benefit Elections

All benefits-eligible employees will receive a statement via their FCPS email address confirming their 2024 benefit elections in early November. We encourage you to carefully review this statement to ensure your elections are correct.

Employees who are changing health plans will receive new identification (ID) cards in mid to late December. New ID cards will not be issued unless a change in coverage is occurring. Remember, you will need to present your ID card to all your treating providers beginning January 1, so they are aware of your insurance change.

If you re-enrolled in an FSA for 2024, please hold on to your Optum debit cards as these cards will continue to be valid in the new year. Debit cards will not be re-issued to current FSA participants.

Remember: If you are requesting to add your spouse and/or dependent child(ren) to your medical or dental coverage, you must supply documentation demonstrating they meet FCPS eligibility criteria and are, therefore, eligible for coverage under the plans. Coverage cannot be made effective until the Office of Benefit Services receives appropriate documentation. A list of required documents is available on our website. You do not need to re-supply documents for currently enrolled dependents - only for dependents you are requesting to add to your coverage.
