Summer Learning: Career and Technical Education (CTE) Summer Career Academy
This academy allows students to earn a Career and Technical Education (CTE) course credit in one of five courses.
Career and Technical Education (CTE) Summer Career Academy provides students access to CTE courses during the summer. These are one credit introductory courses that students may not have the opportunity to take during the school year. Successful completion of the courses allows students to take more advanced courses during the school year.

FCPS Food Services provides lunch for $3.50 or students may bring a lunch from home. FCPS students can use their school accounts or pay with cash. Non-FCPS students can pay with cash.
Starting mid-June (specific date TBD) view the lunch menu by school location. Vending machines are available.

- Grades will be calculated according to guidelines outlined in FCPS High School Grading and Reporting to Parents.
- Withdrawing from a course:
- Students who withdraw from July 6 - July 13 may do so without a grade penalty.
- Students who withdraw from July 14 - July 27 will receive a mark of withdrawn failing (WF) or withdrawn passing (WP).
- Students who withdraw after July 27 will receive a mark of withdrawn pass (WP) or fail (F).
Courses at Fairfax HS
There is bus transportation from select FCPS high schools and middle schools outside of the Fairfax High School pyramid. Transportation to and from these schools is the responsibility of the parent or guardian. Transportation information will be communicated to families prior to the start of the program.

Extended Day Classes
Adult and Community Education (ACE) offers academic and enrichment classes at Fairfax High School from 2:30-5:30 p.m. These classes are an extra cost, and student pick-up at 5:30 p.m. is the responsibility of the parent.
