Adult and Community Education (ACE) Overview

Learn More About ACE

In 1955, the Fairfax County Public School Board established Adult and Community Education (ACE). The mission of ACE is to supply lifelong learning and educational opportunities to the community. These classes are held at school and county locations or online. Our classes are offered all 12 months out of the year, seven days a week. We support excellence, equity, and opportunity and use best practices in teaching and learning to offer affordable classes both virtually and in person.

ACE works with regional organizations and the Fairfax County Government about classes offered. We make sure classes such as world languages and lifelong learning are offered in addition to classes that teach skills needed to find and succeed in the job market.

Our administrative office is in Falls Church, Virginia. And our Registration office is in Springfield, Virginia. We employ both full-time staff and part-time instructors.

Furthermore, ACE provides registration support services to Summer Learning and selected school year programs such as FCPS’ Self-Directed Economics and Personal Finance.
