FCPS CARES of the Month
Honoring deserving employees for the remarkable things they do.
FCPS CARES is a program designed by The Department of Human Resources Employee Recognition Programs team, in partnership with the Foundation for FCPS, to provide an opportunity for parents, staff and community members to recognize FCPS employees who go that extra mile to uphold FCPS’ values by promoting cultural awareness, supporting excellence in academics, building positive relationships, and enriching the experiences of students and others. Employees who exemplify these principles will be eligible to be honored with a CARES of the Month award.
FCPS Cares of the Month
How does it work?
If you see an FCPS employee who demonstrates one or more of the FCPS CARES principles and would like to recognize that employee for their effort; then go to the FCPS Cares page and submit your story.
Tip: give a specific example(s) of how the employee promoted cultural awareness, supported excellence in academics, built positive relationships, and/or enriched the experiences of students or others.
At the end of each month, the CARES of the Month selection committee will review all FCPS CARES submissions and recommend CARES of the Month honorees, (up to one individual from each region and one individual from central office).
CARES of the Month recipients will be announced around the 15th of the month following their recognition and will receive a certificate and an engraved enamel FCPS CARES pin. CARES recipients will also be recognized on the FCPS website and in other FCPS publications.
Due to the current operating status for schools and work sites, in-person celebrations will not be held at this time.
