Extended School Year (ESY)

Secondary Extended School Year (ESY) Summer Administrator

Description: Assists with planning, assessment, instructional leadership, communication, community relations, safety and security, and administrative management required to manage the instructional and special education program for the extended school year; assists in ensuring equitable practices in school programs and operations at various elementary and secondary sites; supports the achievement and well-being of all students; helps establish and maintain a welcoming facility and environment that promotes a caring culture.  

Applicants must have support from their current building principal in order to fulfill the ESY contract. If selected, the ESY administrator must attend all of the administrative training sessions provided prior to and during ESY. These trainings will be provided virtually and as face-to-face sessions. 

Qualifications: Must be a current FCPS employee; Postgraduate Professional License with endorsement as a school principal or in administration and supervision preK-12, plus five (5) years of progressive teaching and leadership experience or equivalent experience. Assistant principal experience is preferred.  Excellent communication skills, strong ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate school staff, programs, and services; ability to develop effective working relationships with central office personnel, staff, parents, community, and the general public.

Description: Manages and is accountable for the planning, assessment, instructional leadership, communication, community relations, safety and security, and administrative management required to direct the instructional and special programs, organization, co-curricular and extracurricular activities, and facilities. Based on the budget, the principal shall receive the summer principal supplement commensurate for the program assignment.

Summer Camp Site Director, CTE - This vacancy has been filled

Description: Implements two programs that gives students the opportunity to explore Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways, skills, and careers; communicates with parents, teachers, students, and school staff about all camp-related items.

CTE Summer Camps consist of two programs: Tech Adventure Camp and CTE Summer Academy. Tech Adventure Camp serves students who are in grades K - 5 during the 2023-2024 school year. CTE Summer Academy serves students who are in grades 6 - 11 during the 2023-2024 school year.
