Description: Partners with teachers to ensure equity, opportunities, and access for all students; increases the quality and effectiveness of classroom instruction; closes achievement gaps, and provides job-embedded professional learning and coaching focused on the Five Essential Practices for English Learners (ELs) and coaching to support outcomes for ELs in the content areas; supports and aligns project initiatives to the School Improvement and Innovation Plan; stays current with trending educational research and new learning methodology; uses data to make informed decisions.  This is a one-year only position, with a start date of July 10, 2024.

Qualifications:  A minimum of four (4) years of progressive teaching experience within the core content areas of literacy, mathematics, social studies, or science, required. Experience in teaching diverse groups of students, leading teams of teachers, and presenting professional development. Must hold a valid Virginia ESOL teaching license or be willing to add ESOL licensure by taking the ESOL Praxis. Expert content knowledge and pedagogy; knowledge of FCPS Strategic Plan and Portrait of a Graduate goals; skill in the development of equitable strategies and practices to differentiate learning and meet the needs of diverse learners; skill in leading the work of Professional Learning Communities; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, ability to maintain a commitment to professional ethics.

Description: Partners with novice teachers in years 0-3 to ensure equity, opportunities, and access for all students; increases the quality and effectiveness of classroom instruction; closes achievement gaps, and provides job-embedded professional learning and coaching in the content areas of literacy, mathematics, social studies, and science;  supports and aligns project initiatives to the School Improvement and Innovation Plan; stays current with trending educational research and new learning methodology; uses data to make informed decisions.  Similar to all instructional coach positions, this is a one-year only position, with a start date of July 10, 2024.

Qualifications:  A minimum of four (4) years of progressive teaching experience within the core content areas of literacy, mathematics, social studies, or science, required. Experience in mentoring new teachers, supporting novice teachers with classroom management, engagement, instructional strategies, differentiation, and student achievement, teaching diverse groups of students, leading teams of teachers, and presenting professional development.  Must hold a valid Virginia teaching license or be eligible for licensure by the state of Virginia. Homebound/Home-based Teachers

Part-time, Hourly, $50.00 per Hour

Description: Plans and delivers virtual or in-person instruction in collaboration with Out-of-School Support, which provides teachers for students unable to attend school because of medical (homebound) or disciplinary (home-based) reasons; follows procedures and policies for completing required paperwork for reporting purposes; maintains regular communication with staff, students and families. Critical subject areas include: special education, math, science, and world languages; both school day and/or after school hours are available.

Qualifications:  Valid Virginia teaching license.  Ability to provide guidance to culturally diverse students and staff; proficiency in the use of technology; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Description: Performs a variety of senior level audit procedures including analyses, appraisals, and evaluations of the school division’s functions and activities, either individually or as part of a team. Serve as lead or supervisory auditor for assigned audits and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field, with major course work in accounting or finance. Description: Serves as a liaison among families, community, and school staff at the three FCPS Welcome Centers (Dunn Loring, South County, and Herndon); encourages family engagement in student's education and connects families to FCPS and County resources; maintains information on school and County services and families served; assists with forms and paperwork for school and social services; connects families with school-based family liaison(s); ensures families feel welcome, trusted, and valued by the school system.

Description: On an assigned route or as a relief driver, operates an automotive van, truck, or related automotive vehicle to transport food, supplies, equipment, and money between designated schools.

Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of the tenth grade, plus some work experience preferably involving automotive transportation and/or delivery. Summer Warehouse Helper

Hourly, $17.19 per Hour

Description: Performs routine manual work associated with receiving, warehousing, issuing, and/or delivering supplies, materials and equipment; moves material to and from storage, loading and salvage areas by hand truck or forklift; stores stock material in appropriate storage locations; receives delivery of ordered supplies, materials and equipment at a loading dock and compares items with freight bills; and prepares and packs items with freight bills  for shipment to various offices and locations.
