FCPS Spring 2018 VHSL Sports Champions

Madison High School Softball
Madison High School's softball team won their second consecutive Class 6 state championship, finishing 28-0.  

FCPS student-athletes had a very successful spring 2018 sports season. Seven FCPS teams and 13 individuals won the Virginia High School League (VHSL) championships in their respective sports. 

The teams winning championships were:

  • Madison High School, Class 6 Softball.
  • West Springfield, Class 6 Baseball. 
  • Oakton High School, Class 6 Boys Lacrosse.  
  • Woodson High School, Class 6 Girls Lacrosse. 
  • Chantilly High School, Class 6 Boys Tennis.  
  • Woodson High School, Class 6 Girls Tennis. 
  • Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, Class 5 Boys Tennis. 

Individuals that won the state championship were:

  • Will Park, Chantilly High School, Class 6 Boys Tennis, Singles.
  • Alex Krawietz and Drew Rommel, Chantilly High School, Class 6 Boys Tennis, Doubles. 
  • Lexi Merrill, Woodson High School, Class 6 Girls Tennis, Singles. 
  • Lexi Merrill and Jessica Lemair, Woodson High School, Class 6 Girls Tennis, Doubles. 
  • Andrew Delvecchio, Lake Braddock Secondary School, Class 6 Boys Track, 1600 Meter Run. 
  • Jay Pendarvis, Annandale High School, Class 6 Boys Track, 400 Meter Dash. 
  • Hannah Richardson, Langley High School, Class 6 Girls Track, Pole Vault. 
  • Emma Seetoo, Westfield High School, Class 6 Girls Track, Long Jump.  
  • Chase Kappaler, West Springfield High School, Class 6 Girls Track, 1600 Meter Run. 
  • Nicole Re, Chantilly High School, Class 6 Girls Track, 800 Meter Run. 
  • Ted Zhou and Daniel Wen, Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, Class 5 Boys Tennis, Doubles.
