Congratulations to all the FCPS student-athletes who participated in the 2022 fall sports season. This year four teams and two individuals won the Virginia High School League (VHSL) Class 6 championship in their respective sports, and three teams and three individuals were the state runners-up. 

The teams winning the championship were:

• Fairfax High School, Field Hockey (pictured above).
• Langley High School, Golf (seventh consecutive championship). 
• West Springfield High School, Girls Cross Country.
• Woodson High School, Boys Cross Country. 

The individuals winning the championship were:

• Alina Ho, Langley High School, Golf.
• Gillian Bushee, Herndon High School, Girls Cross Country. 

The teams that were state runners-up were:

• Oakton High School, Boys Cross Country. 
• Madison High School, Football. 
• Langley High School, Girls Cross Country.

The individuals who were state runners-up were:

• Josh Duangmanee, Fairfax High School, Boys Golf.
• Thais Rolly, McLean High School, Girls Cross Country. 
• Isaac Garcia, South County High School, Boys Cross Country.
