The mascot for South County MS is the mustang. It is so fitting that the school's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) committee is called the Stampede Committee! A group of students is working to develop lessons that teach their peers what appropriate behavior looks like in the classroom. They've created character traits with the acronym HORSE: Honesty, Ownership, Respect, Service, and Effort.

Each week, South County students who embody these character traits are honored during morning announcements. Learn more about how the school developed the program in this short video.
