FCPS Athletic Training Program Pre-Participation Screenings (Physicals/PPE)

Register Now for Fall Sports Physicals

This spring, each FCPS Athletic Training Program will host an evening of VHSL Pre-participation Physical Exams (PPEs) for current and rising high school student-athletes. A physical costs $50 when pre-registered or $60 at the door (both payable by cash or check) and the money raised supports each school’s athletic trainers in their efforts to provide quality care for FCPS student-athletes. With the help of community physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, emergency medical technicians, nurses, and parent volunteers, FCPS athletic trainers dedicate their time and expertise to provide thorough pre-participation screenings for FCPS student-athletes.

Physicals will be offered at 25 separate locations during May and June, and taking advantage of this opportunity ensures your child has a valid physical on file for summer conditioning, "Green Day" activities, try-outs, and sports participation throughout the 2019-20 school year.

Each school offers a variety of appointment options. Specific information regarding individual school appointment times is available when you register.

You can also have your child's pediatrician or family physician complete the VHSL Sports Physical, but please remember that you MUST use the VHSL PPE form.

The certified athletic trainer (ATC) is a resource for information regarding sports medicine topics. Please contact the ATCs at your child's school if you have any questions. You may also contact the Athletic Training Program administrator at 571-423-1264.
