The Washington Mill Elementary project was identified according to the Renovation Queue, approved in 2009. Washington Mill ES is ranked 36 of 63 schools in the queue. The project construction was funded by the 2017 and 2019 bonds. The completed project provides modern amenities, removed a modular, and added approximately 35,000 SF to the building.

Capital Project Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

FCPS marked the completion of the capital project at Washington Mill Elementary School on Thursday, May 25, 2023. This brief ceremony included remarks from Dr. Michelle Reid, Superintendent and representatives from the Fairfax County School Board, Board of Supervisors, and Planning Commission.
