HIPAA Compliance Awareness Training is requested by contacting the Office of Employee Relations (EER)

Welcome to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Compliance Awareness Training, which must be requested by contacting the Office of Employee Relations (OER) at [email protected]. To complete this training, you will need to view a video composed of several lessons and complete a quiz at the end of each lesson. Also, you will need to reserve two hours of uninterrupted time to complete this training.

What if I do not complete the training?

If you do not complete the training, access to your required work location will be denied and depending on your job function, you may be restricted from performing certain sensitive tasks.

What constitutes the completion of the training?

You must score at least 81% to successfully complete the training.

What should I do after I complete the training?

After you have satisfactorily completed the training, please notify the EER by e-mail. Detailed information on how to contact the EER was included in the e-mail notification that you received for this online registration training.

How will I get credit for taking the training?

After you have satisfactorily completed the training, the EER will update your My PLT transcript within three days of receipt of your e-mail regarding your training completion. The EER will send you an e-mail notifying you that your transcript has been updated and you may visit My PLT to view and print your certificate.
