Purpose: To promote physical fitness, teamwork, and competition. Student-athletes compete for varsity letters if placed on a varsity boat and meet coaching staff selection criteria. Physical conditioning begins in November, and water training begins in late February. Racing season is from late February to the end of May and practice is each night after school at the boathouse on the Occoquan River
