Announcement: If you are interested in joining the College Partnership Program for the 2010-11 school year, you should see Mr. Ford, Ms. Marshall, or Ms. Wilson in the counseling office to apply.  Your completed application must be returned by March 24.  The College Partnership Program is a motivational program designed to increase the academic aspiration and enrollment of students in college, particularly first generation college students and minority students.

Announcement: You are invited to the Pyramid Art Show, on Thursday, March 18th from 6:30-8:00pm, here at Woodson!  Kindergarten through 12th grade students will have art work on display from the cafeterias to the fine arts wing.  Come show your support for student-artists in the Woodson community.  Art work will be on display  from Canterbury Woods, Little Run, Mantua, Olde Creek, Wakefield Forest,  Frost and Woodson!

Announcement: W.T. Woodson’s award-winning Winter Guard team will perform their 2010 show, entitled “Roman Pantheon”, on Thursday, March 18 at 8:15 pm in the Woodson main gym.  From dancing to flag spinning to rifle tossing, there is something for everyone in this exciting and elegant show!  The performance is free and open to the public.  Please support our ‘Roman goddesses’ as they prepare for the Atlantic Indoor Association Championships at the end of March.

Announcement: Hey Woodson! Don't forget that this Friday is Hey Day- a day where you say “hey” to everyone in the hallways! During the 3rd return we will have the Student-Faculty Basketball game in the gym. Bring some cash on Friday because club tables, Krispy Kreme, and Smoothie King will be outside next to the rock!  Get in the school spirit and participate in our spirit week- details located on signs in the cafeteria and purchase your Hey Day T-shirt during lunch to show school unity on Friday!

Announcement: The McLean Youth Orchestra has invited the Woodson Student Body to attend for free their Sunday, March 21, 3:00 pm performance of “Sky’s the Limit” at Oakcrest School in McLean.  Information about the planets, provided by Woodson astronomy students, will be on display during intermission.  Students should pick up a copy of the concert flyer in the main office or planetarium and present it at the door for their free admission.  Please see Mr. Brown in the planetarium if you have any questions.
