Winter Formal
Woodson will be holding a winter dance on Sat. 2/11, from 8:00 –
11:30 PM in the Auxiliary Gym. The dance is open to all students and the
proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society. Tickets cost $10 and will be
sold between the cafeterias beginning 2/1-2/10.
Woodson 5K
Join us for the 3rd annual Woodson 5K, a timed ChronoTracked run/walk, on 4/14/12. The Woodson 5K is a competitive run & friendly walk, suitable for all ages. Profits will be donated to Autism Speaks. Register online or mail the form to the school. Cost to participate is $15 until 3/30 and $20 thereafter. Participants will receive a Woodson 5K t-shirt.
One Book. One Day.
Focusing on the T.S. Eliot’s poem The Waste Land, Woodson will hold One Book. One Day to expose seniors to discussion, lecture, technology, research, & project-based learning on Friday 2/3. Follow the work on onebookoneday.blogspot.com or on Twitter @onebook_oneday. Details.
Advanced Placement Exams
Advanced Placement (AP) Exams will take place May 7-18, 2012. Registration for NON FCPS students and FCPS students not enrolled in an AP class will be February 21-24, 2012. The fee is $87.00 per test for FCPS students and $100.00 per test for NON FCPS students. Call Mrs. Nielsen at 703-503-4623 for more information.
