MegaProse: Woodson Film Festival

A veritable anthology of Woodson's most entertaining art and literature is now collected on megaprose.com.  Included are Woodson's "LitFilm" program, an innovative blend of literature and film featuring top original stories written by English 11 Honors students; "Byrdworks," an online film festival showcasing top short films by Woodson film students; and a digital version of "Page," Woodson's award-winning art and literature magazine.

 

The Current Reality at W.T. Woodson High School

As part of our effort to better understand the current reality at W.T. Woodson High School, we have provided all staff members, parents, and students an opportunity to share their perceptions via a survey that elicited feedback about school-wide strengths, challenges for the future, and proposed solutions, Below you will find feedback from teachers and staff, and parents. Summer Transition

Registration for W. T. Woodson High School's Summer Transition Program is now open.  The program will run from August 11 – 13. The program will run and from 8:30 – 11:30 on the 11th and 12th and from 8:30 – 12:30 on the 13th.  Transportation from feeder elementary schools will be provided each day. Each day, rising freshmen will have the opportunity to participate in tours of the school, Q&A sessions with current students and teachers, peer-building activities, and simulated classroom lessons.  Through all of these activities, students will become adjusted to the culture of W. T. Woodson High School.  The last day will conclude with a cookout and family members are invited to attend.  The cost of the program is $75 and checks can be made payable to W. T. Woodson High School and mailed to the school in care of Kathy Martin by August 1.  If you have any questions or concerns, please email Kathy Martin at:  kamartin@fcps.edu.  You can register your student using the following link to a Google Form.
