2008-2009 Retirees

Family, friends, and staff members feted four retiring faculty members on Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Leaving West Springfield High School after many years of service are Nancy Albright, Patti McMillan, Mary Moriarty, and Sue Spatcher. Invited guests, retirees, and staff members mingled in Spartan Hall. Patti could not be with us because she was celebrating the birth of her first grandchild. Assistant Principal Richard Griffin introduced each retiree, invited administrators and department chairpersons to share memories about each retiree, and thanked them for their numerous contributions and years of service. The retirees introduced their guests, regaled us with their favorite stories, and summarized their varied experiences at West Springfield. We shall miss their cheerful smiles, generous natures, and expert leadership.
