ALL NIGHT GRADUATION PARTY
The
All Night Graduation Party (ANGP) is an event
for our graduates that is
sponsored by the WSHS PTSA, numerous commercial businesses and all
senior parents. The event is held after the graduation ceremony at Lee
District Park and provides our students with a safe and alcohol/drug
free party. There will be many activities, prizes, games, food and an
opportunity for the entire senior class to gather and share in a final
celebration before they pursue their post high school goals.
The planning
for this event is a
year-long effort by the parents of the
senior class. In addition,
Junior parents are asked to assist the
senior parents in the preparation of the party especially the night of
graduation when they provide the final touches so that the senior
parents can attend the ceremony. Senior parents then return to run the
ANGP until completion. Many volunteers are needed to work on various
committees. This is completely parent-run.
The fundraiser
is manning a
booth at Nissan Pavilion by Junior parents and students.
The training classes
are approximately 3 hours long, and will probably start in March. If we
get enough volunteers they will come to WSHS to do the training.
Meetings will be held in February to provide information. The concerts
are primarily in June, July and August. It is a lot of fun and we sure
could use your help. Please consider helping.
