Fashion Magazines Of The 1930's

Fashion magazines of the 1930's are a glimpse into the social structure of that time period. Magazines such as Vogue brought to life actors, their lives and their styles.

Photographs shown in the magazines were usually high-contrast and shot in the documentary or staged glamour style. The fashion models of the 1930's were mainly women, who wore extravagant clothing with large accesories. In addition, the models have smug or dreamy expressions on their faces.

The influence of glamour photography in these early magazines is seen in current fashion magazines.
