What is the ANGP?
(Download the All Night Grad Party Flyer Here)
You are invited to be a part of a tradition that exists to keep our soon-to-be graduates safe on one of the most accident-prone nights of their lives – graduation night. Each year the parents of the junior and senior class plan an all-night celebration that is alcohol and drug free. The purpose is to provide a safe environment for the entire senior class to join together one last time and celebrate their graduation from West Springfield.
The West Springfield All Night Grad Party (ANGP) is sponsored by the PTSA, a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization and falls under the guidelines developed by the Virginia Operation Prom/Graduation program (OP/G). In response to a 1987 Virginia DMV request, the Virginia Dept. of Education developed the OP/G program to address the serious issues of youth drinking, drug use, and driving behavior during high-risk social events. Graduation and Prom are two of the highest risk nights for teens. This will be West Springfield’s 25th year!
Venue & Transportation
Dave & Buster’s is the site for this year’s party. They offer a huge dining room , game room, dance floor in the "Show Room", billiard tables and great food. We will be adding a casino, DJ and/or karaoke, tattoo artists, caricaturists, raffles and prizes to make this night memorable.
Located in Bethesda, D&B’s is approximately 40 minutes from WSHS. Students will NOT be allowed to drive to this event. All students attending will be required to ride to and from WSHS on a chartered bus. Only students who graduate from WSHS are allowed to attend. Graduates will load buses on June 19th at 11 pm and are returned at 5 am. Students with special needs can be accompanied by a parent if needed.
Anyone needing to leave the event early will have to be picked up by a parent.
Details
Tickets: Tickets will not be available the night of the party. D&B and the bus company need head counts in advance. The ANGP is not part of your senior dues. Ticket prices are $60 before December 1, $75 Dec 1-May 1, $90 after May 1. Tickets will be sold throughout the school year at events and during lunch periods.
Security is provided by both D&B’s and parent volunteers to ensure everyone has a safe and fun evening. THE FACILITY IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC – OPEN TO West Springfield GRADS ONLY!
