GUIDELINES

  • Use of the library is a privilege.
  • Come with a class or come with a pass and key in student ID number at the front desk, without food, gum, drinks.
  • Before you leave, please push chairs in and put trash in wastebaskets/recycle bins.
  • Respect the right of other students to study.
  • Respect the right of others to use library materials. (You may not check out books if you have overdue books or a fine.)
  • Use technology in accordance with WSHS and FCPS Guidelines. That means school assignments only.
  • Cell phone use of any sort is prohibited at any time.
SPARTAN TIME
  • You do not need a pass for Spartan Time, but the maximum occupancy of the library is 107 students, so you have to arrive early to get in. You cannot come after the bell has rung (no passes accepted).
  • We regularly have to turn students away, so only come to the library if you plan to work on an assignment. This is not an appropriate time or place to socialize.
  • We only stamp school planners. Make sure you have your planner with you. For efficient entry, please have the planner open to the student's barcode to be scanned by a librarian.
  • Once you have entered the library for Spartan Time, you cannot leave. If you need to use library resources for only five or ten minutes, please come at break, lunch, or after school.
