Sharon Driscoll, Student Assistance Coordinator

ASSIGNMENT:
Coordinator for the Student Assistance Program at WSHS

EDUCATION:
BS in clinical psychology from George Mason University and MEd in counseling and development from the George Mason University

DIVERSIED STAFFING:
Assist students, parents, and school staff with issues related to student use of alcohol or drugs.
Co-facilitate groups
Co-facilitate Alcohol and Other Drug Use Intervention Seminar

OTHER INFORMATION:
Ms. Driscoll is a Virginia Certified Substance Abuse Counselor who has worked for Fairfax County Alcohol and Drug Services (ADS) for twelve years. Within ADS she has worked with substance abusing and dually diagnosed adults as a detox counselor, case manager, assessment counselor, mental health liaison, and perinatal liaison. Prior to ADS she worked with adolescents at various private mental health facilities and at a teen crisis shelter. She is excited to return to working with adolescents and their families at West Springfield High School. In her free time, Mrs. Driscoll enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.
