Mrs. Pincus has been at West Springfield High School since 1988. She has worked as a secondary school counselor; career counselor; student affairs advisor at the university level; and classroom instructor with the intermediate, high school, and adult education programs. Since 1990, she has served on the board of the Virginia Association of Specialists in Group Work (VASGW) and as president. She has also served as president (from 1998-2000) of Kappa Delta Pi, national honor society in education, George Mason University chapter.

Mrs. Pincus is the 2000 recipient fo the American Counseling Association's National Professional Development Award for outstanding professional service and program development.
