PUFFER FISH: LAGOCEPHALUS



Feeding: The puffer has bone crushing teeth which it uses for eating bottom dwelling shell fish like snails or crayfish.


Protection: A puffer will take in water when it has been swallowed whole, killing the predator which was trying to eat it.


Color Change: Has been said to indicate mood change or environmental changes of the puffer.


Size: up to 60 cm
Life Span: unknown
Habitat: tropical open ocean waters near the surface.
