Turtles and Tortoises

Characteristics
-They are encased with a protective shell. The top of the shell is called the carpace and the bottom shell is called the plastron.
-They have beaks.
-They have no teeth.
-They hibernate.




-Tortoises were used in Aesop's Fable "The Tortoise and the Hare"
-Turtles were used in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
