The Pangolin is found in Africa and southern Aisa.
Its scientific name is manis temminckii.
Its common name is simply the Pangolin.
The Pangolins have large sharp scales covering the extent of their bodies. They eat ants and termites. Each species has a long, sticky tongue to lap up it's food. They have paws similiar to bears which the Pangolin uses to break open ant hills and trees to get to it's food. Pangolins are used for food which is concidered an extreme delicacy and their scales are used as very powerful aphrodisiac.

Pholidota only have four species of terrestrial and arboreal Pangolins. They live in forests and open savannas. Their entir body is covered with large overlapping scales which have razor edges to defend against preditors. When threatened the Pangolin rolls into a ball and raises it scales. The Pangolin is toothless and hunts ant, termites, and other small insects catching them with its long gooey tongue.
