** Hydrozoans are the most primative cnidarians **

** 2,700 named species of Hydrozoa **

** The most information is known about hydra, the freshwater hrdrozoans **

** Glide around by decreasing the adhesiveness of a material secreted by their Basal disk(The pad that they attach themselves to objects with)

*** The freshwater species of hydra is the most common hydrozoan found ***
