Characteristics
Frogs:
-have bulging eyes, short neckless bodies, long muscular hind legs and webbed feet
-have legs and move about on land fairly well
-have lungs although not as well developed as birds or mammals
-breathe dircectly through their moist skin
-they have pulmonary veins
-a partially divided heart
-frogs live only in freshwater
Toads:
-have most of the same characteristics as frogs with a few differences:
-toads are more terrestrial
-shorter legs
-stouter body
-skin is thicker than frogs and usually have bumps
-their call can be heard over a distance of 1 kilometer
-range from 2.5-18 cm
-inhabit cool moist places and lay their eggs in the water

-Frogs and toads make great pets!
-Frog legs are considered a delicacy everywhere around the world.
_Frogs and toads are an important part of the world and ecosystem. If there were no frogs, there would be a lot more mosquitoes and flies in the world.
