WIND ENSEMBLE

The Wind Ensemble performs the most difficult literature of the band repertoire and is the representative performing band for West Springfield High School at local, regional, national, and international events. Students enrolled in this class are required to participate in the Marching Spartans during the fall season. The Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Director of Bands, Larry Einuis.

The Wind Ensemble has earned consecutive Superior ratings at the District XI Band Festival in March. The Wind Ensemble performed at the 2001 Virginia Music Educators Association In-Service Conference at The Homestead in Hot Springs, VA.  The group has traveled to such cities as Orlando, Atlanta, and New York and has also performed at the Bands of America National Concert Band Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana.
