EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Involvement in extracurricular activities is an integral part of success in academic work. The Foreign Language Department is committed to providing a variety of opportunities which extend beyond the classroom learning experience. Students are encouraged to expand their foreign language development by participating in these activities.

Membership in foreign language clubs is open to any student interested in learning about a new culture. Activities are planned which promote an interest in the language and the culture. There are clubs associated with each of the languages at WSHS.

At the present time membership in the American Sign Language, French, German, Japanese, Latin, and Spanish Honor Societies, merit based organizations, is open to qualified students. The Honor Societies are service oriented and include tutorial services and scholarship programs.
