Visual Communications is specifically designed for seniors who have an interest in art although they have never taken an art course in high school. Students investigate a variety of materials and techniques in drawing, sculpture, and design. For example, in the design unit, students create their own stencils, learn the craft of stenciling and then decorate furniture, assorted wooden objects such as boxes and clothes racks, or greeting cards. In addition to the classroom projects, the class continues its tradition of designing and painting a Senior Mural on the walls of Senior Hall.
