The Oracle endeavors to entertain, encourage,
and inform the Springfield and Burke communities of happenings at West
Springfield, in Fairfax County, and beyond. It is a forum for student
expression as well as a learning instrument for student journalists. The
Oracle is a member publication of the Columbia Scholastic Press
Association, the National Scholastic Press Association, Quill & Scroll,
the Southern Interscholastic Press Association, the Virginia High School
League, the Public Relations Society of American, the American Scholastic
Press Association, and the Society of Professional Journalists, Sigma
