WILSON George Wilson owns a small garage in the Valley of Ashes. Wilson is described as a "blonde, spiritless man, anemic and faintly handsome" (29).Wilson is devoted to Myrtle, his wife, and completely oblivious of the affair his wife and Tom are entangled in. Immediately after discovering his wife's lack of conscience, what is left of his life is crushed. The impact of the discovery, followed closely by Myrtle's death, causes George to engage in a murderous rampage killing Gatsby, then himself.
