The mission of the Office of Internal Audit is to help the School Board and the school division's Leadership Team effectively discharge their responsibilities. The office serves to improve fiscal accountability and operations of the School Division. Internal audit activities serve as an independent ,objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve operations. The Audit Office can assist the School Division in accomplishing its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The office, through its work, provides the Superintendent, senior management, and the School Board with analysis, appraisals, recommendations, and other information concerning the activities reviewed.
