Business and Community Advisory Council

Created in the fall of 2007, the Business and Community Advisory Council (BCAC) combines the former Superintendent’s Community Advisory Council (SCAC) and Superintendent's Business-Industry Advisory Council (BIAC). Together, this Council exemplifies the long-standing FCPS tradition of community engagement and participation in that engagement by leaders at the highest levels in FCPS. Its essential purposes are to facilitate informed communication between the broader community and FCPS leadership and to provide a forum for a broad spectrum of the community to discuss and reach consensus about current and long-range FCPS programs and the educational and public policy issues related to them.

The Council's role is to advise and counsel the Superintendent, and the School Board through the Superintendent, on matters of significance to the Fairfax County Public Schools.
