From the FCPS Athletic Training Program Specialist
It is my pleasure to introduce the first issue of the FCPS Athletic Training Program Newsletter. FCPS is fortunate to have a dedicated staff of certified athletic trainers working with the student athletes on a daily basis. Each high school provides comprehensive athletic health care services by employing two NATABOC certified athletic trainers who are dedicated to providing the safest possible opportunity for all students participating in the athletic program.
Through this NEWSLETTER, we hope to provide informative and helpful information to the FCPS community regarding athletic training and current issues in sports medicine.
Participation in athletics provides countless benefits to our students: health and fitness enhancement, improvement in self esteem and social skills, as well as fun. However, athletic participation can also lead to injury. A main objective of the FCPS Athletic Training Program is to provide comprehensive, on-site, professional athletic health care, to all student athletes assuring a safe environment for all.
Please contact the NATABOC certified athletic trainers at your school for more information.
