Annandale High School's
ATHLETIC TRAINING PROGRAM
Certified Athletic Trainers Alison Lane and Kathy Ayers provide the athletic health care to Annandale's entire
athletic program.
Alison Lane, ATC graduated from West Virginia University. She has served overseas in the military and is currently on the National Athletic Trainers Association's International Committee.
Kathy Ayers, ATC earned her Bachelors degree from
Temple University, and a Masters from George Mason
University in Exercise Science and Health. She has also
served as the ATC for the US Womens Lacrosse Team when
the team traveled to Australia and won the World Cup in
1999.
Team Physician
Dr. Frank Petrone, an orthopaedist with
Commonwealth Orthopaedics serves as the team physician for
Annandale's Athletic Training Program and works very closely
with Ms Lane and Ms Ayers in pre and post surgical
rehabilitation. Please contact Ms Lane or Ms

An Athletic Training Student Aide assists with the
record keeping of treatments using the Injury Treatment
Tracking System computer in the athletic training
room.

Ms Ayers evaulates an athletes ankle injury.
Educating Professionals
Ms Lane and Ms Ayers, ATC are Approved Clinical
Instructors through George Mason University, George Washington University and
Shenendoah University's CAAHEP approved Athletic
Training Education Department. Each semester, university
Student Athletic Trainer will intern at Annandale HS,
working under the direct supervision of Lane and Ayers.
