The VHSL WCP will be transitioning to the National Wrestling Coaches Assocation's Optimal Calculator (NWCA OCP) for 2011-12 season.
CURRENT VHSL CERTIFIED MEASURER'S: All certified measurer's will need to complete an update for the 2011-12 season. Updates will be available BY ATTENDING A VHSL WCP Certified Measurer's WORKSHOP OR the Online UPDATE. Workshop Schedule link is on the banner to the left.
Certified Measurer ONLINE UPDATE or workshop MUST be completed before your Certified Measurer number will be activated in the NWCA OPC system. Only the VHSL certified measurer number will allow you access to upload measurements into the NWCA OPC for Virginia schools.
NATA BOC CEU's will be offered to all who attend a VHSL WCP workshop.

Please complete the entire tutorial, be sure to view the slideshow about the NWCA OPC, and VERIFY YOUR COMPLETION AT THE END OF THE TUTORIAL.
Verification must be received prior to activating your Certified Measurer's number with the online OPC. (you will be unable to upload measurerments until you have completed the online tutorial or workshop)

HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS INTERESTED IN BECOMING A VHSL WCP CERTIFIED MEASURER MUST ATTEND A WORKSHOP
You may attend a scheduled workshop during the fall of 2011 where all new components of the program will be presented and discussed. There is no charge for the workshops.
Attendance at a workshop will also provide you an opportunity to refresh your skills and ask questions of issues you may have faced last season. VHSL WCP CM WORKSHOP SCHEDULE LINK is on the left.
Criteria to become a certified VHSL Measurer are as follows:
- Have a medically related professional degree (MD, DO, DC, RN, LPN, NP, PT, RD, ATC, PA). Exceptions will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis where such qualified professionals are not available. For example, an EMT, based on the individual’s education and experience would be considered.
- Have a current professional license/ certificate and be in good standing with your professional governing body
- Have completed a VHSL WCP workshop.
- Must follow protocols set forth by the VHSL Weight Control Program and maintain certification standards
If you are a licensed healthcare provider and wish to become a VHSL Certified Measuerer, you must attend a VHSL Certified Measurer Workshop.
