boundary locator.
- Register for Keep
in Touch. be sure to designate the school your child
will attend.

- Notify the school that your child is eligible to attend kindergarten
next year of your name, your child's name, and your address.
You can call the school or send an e-mail. Contact information

and Centers Directory.

- Letters mailed to prospective parents with orientation materials
and appointments for pre-registration days.

- Spring
orientations are held. Parents will be invited to the
school to complete enrollment forms and discuss health needs
with the clinic room aide or public health nurse. Often,
these events also offer an opportunity for your child to
visit a kindergarten classroom and meet some of the teachers
involved with the program.

- As soon as possible, physicals and health documentation must
be submitted to the school so that a child will be assigned
to a class. A child is not assigned until all enrollment requirements
are complete.
- In late August, parents receive welcome packets with bus
routes and the date of the school's open house event. Some
schools also include class assignment information; others post
this information at the open house event. At open house, you
and your child can visit the classroom, meet the teacher, and
practice arriving and leaving school.
