 Access to Math

 Make a Worksheet - Autogenerated

• At the opening screen, click Make a Worksheet.

• Click Autogenerate.

• The Autogenerate Options dialog box appears as shown below.
- Select the operation of the problems
- Type the number of problems you want on the worksheet
- Select a first rule and a last rule by holding down the pull down menu
- Click OK to open the Save Worksheet dialog box

N represents a 1 digit #
NN represents a 2 digit #
B stands for borrowing

• Give your worksheet a name and click OK.

Once you have made your worksheet, you have many options under the File menu:

• Create a New Worksheet
• Open an old Worksheet
• Change student access
• Print a worksheet
• Print Answer sheet
• Toggle between making a worksheet and then solving the worksheet

 

Design Your Own Worksheet

• Choose “Design My Own”

• Type a name for the Worksheet and click OK.

• Use the following characters to represent operations:


Addition: +
Subtraction: -
Multiplication: *
Division: /

• You can begin to type in your problem on the blank sheet as the example below illustrates. When you press return after typing the problem, the problem will expand.

• You can add additional pages by using the Edit menu and selecting Add Page.

• You can edit one problem at a time by clicking in the top-left corner of the problem border and dragging the mouse to the lower-right corner of the problem border. This selects the problem. Now you can use the edit and format menus to change the appearance of this problem.

• You can edit an entire worksheet page by clicking anywhere in the page, then choosing Select All from the Edit menu. Use the various options under the Format menu to make changes to the worksheet’s colors and styles.

 

Solve a Worksheet

• Launch Access to Math

• Click Solve a Worksheet, select a name, and click OK.

• Click Start an Assignment from the Solve a Worksheet dialog box to select a worksheet.

- There are four sample worksheets: addition, division, multiplication and subtraction.
- Each worksheet has two easy problems, two medium problems and two difficult problems.

• Click to highlight a worksheet and click on Open.

• Use the Toolbar to complete the worksheet.

 

The “Hidden” Special Worksheets

 

How to access them:

• Double click on the hard drive and find the Access to Math Folder.

• Double click again on the folder icon so you can open the up the folder to see the following contents.

• Inside this folder, notice that there is a Special Worksheet folder. If you double click on this folder, you will the following list:

Color Pattern
Cross Sums
Find the Area
Find the Perimeters
Fraction Action
Graph Your Pets
Greater Than - Less Than
How Many Ways to 10
Missing Addends
Multiplication Table
Number Sequencing
Secret Code

• You need to select the worksheets that you would like to have access to and drag them to the Worksheet Masters folder.

• To do that, click and hold on the title - drag on top of the Worksheet Masters folder - release the mouse.

• Now, when you can go into Access to Math, you can open one of these worksheets under File.
