Inspiration Templates

All of these templates were created in Inspiration and are downloadable. You will need to have Inspiration on your computer as well as the latest version of Aladdin Expander program to uncompress these files to open them. If you don't have that, go to the Aladdin site to get this free program.

Once you have the latest version of Aladdin Expander, check out the important downloading directions.

All About Me
"My" All About Me

This template can be used for grades 2-6. It can be adapted or enhanced to meet the needs of any student. The second template is an example of how I used the template do describe myself.

Erica Berson (SBTTS), Haycock ES

I used this template with my ESL Concepts II Social Studies class. It was a nice easy way to depict the three branches of government.

Evangelia Ifantides, Bryant Adult Alternative HS

I created this one after we completed several days on the elements of a story. We are always working on these skills and I decided to teach my students how to use more aspects of Inspiration. The graphic organizer has note boxes where the students actually type in their answers. Then if they display it as "outline," you can then print it out and see their answers. They enjoyed it and did a great job!

Rachel Banner

Fahrenheit 451

This template is a story map for the Ray Bradbury book, Fahrenheit 451. There is also a web link to a site about censorship.

Alana Adams, West Springfield HS

This is a template to be used with the novel, A Jar of Dreams, for high school ESL B1. It is specifically for Chapters 1 and 2, but then could be adapted for the other chapters.

Barbara Manring

This template would be useful for students to learn about the appropriate behaviors when going out on a job. There is also a link to the Washington Metro site for information on fares and routes.

Jeff Powers, Quander Road HS

This is a template I created for my kindergarten students. If you are familiar with the Inspiration program, you can easily change the clip art to focus on a different initial or ending sound.

Liz Crow, Mantua ES

This template was designed as a story map for The Crucible. There are questions to be answered, as well as web site links for the students to gather more information.

Kathryn Nelson, West Potomac HS

This template was designed to be used as a writing prompt template for a research report on a famous American. This could easily be adapted for most any research report.

Ken Barton, Churchill Road ES

VA Colonization to Independence
VA Colonization CW Slideshow (4.0)

This was created to use with fourth grade students (team taught class) when we began to study Virginia colonization to independence. The Inspiration template (the first one) is the one I created to do the project-- it has notes, pictures, etc. It can be used to teach the four documents; just delete the extra notes. Then I created a slide show. It would be ideal to use as a preview to the subject as well as during and after. The slide show displays the four main documents and I used the essential knowledge from SOLs.

Rachel Banner

This template guides the student through the process of creating a water bottle rocket. It has links to web sites with information on Newton's, how water bottle rockets work, and a video of a launch.

Ann Blanton, Edison, HS
