  How to Download a File from an AlphaSmart
 
  • Open a new word processing document in ClarisWorks or Microsoft Word.
  • Turn on your AlphaSmart and open the file you want to download.
  • Place your thumb on the flat part of the AlphaSmart cable that is ALREADY attached to the keyboard.
  • Carefully plug the cable into your AlphaSmart.
  • Press the SEND key on your AlphaSmart.
  • Unplug your AlphaSmart from the computer and clear the file.
  • Now use the editing tools within ClarisWorks or Microsoft Word to enhance your document's look.
