ATEN (Assistive Technology Educational Network)
This site offers descriptions of assistive devices like Speak Easy and Dynavox for your preview. The updates include a picture and stats, measurements, and features of the devices. Ordering information is also included. http://www.aten.scps.k12.fl.us/

CEC (Council for Exceptional Children)--An array of information including ERIC Clearinghouse on Disabilities, public policy, and legislative information as well as information about CEC journals, books, and media. http://www.CEC.SPED.ORG/

DREAMS for Kids, Inc.--http://www.dreamms.org
Computer and adaptive/assistive technology information to parents/teachers of students with special needs.

Down's Syndrome--This site has links to other sites with information about Down's syndrome as well as articles, lists of frequently asked questions, conferences, toy catalogs, and medical information. http://www.nas.com/downsyn

LD ONLINE--LD OnLine is for anyone interested in learning disabilities. It is a place to learn, find help, and exchange ideas. LD OnLine also showcases artwork and writing of students with learning disabilities. Sign-on at http://www.ldonline.org

NCIP (National Center to Improve Practice in Special Education Through Technology, Media, and Materials)--Includes a guided tour of two integrated early childhood classrooms and includes text, photographs, and quicktime video clips. http://www.edc.org/FSC/NCIP/

NICHCY (National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities)--An information and referral center with a great deal of information to share on disabilities and disability-related issues with special focus on children and youth, birth to age 22. The site offers fact sheets on disabilities, publication information, and disability conferences. http://www.nichcy.org

SERI (Special Education Resources on the Internet)--A master list of disability resource links available on the Internet. Most entries have a detailed description of the site. Some listings include behavior disorders, transition resources, parent and educator resources, vision impairment, and inclusion resources. http://seriweb.com
