Virginia Alternate Assessment Program (VAAP)


For the Virginia Alternate Assessment Program (VAAP), teachers will collect samples of student evidence that will be submitted to the local school division. The revised VAAP includes assessment data and results for two components: access to Aligned Standards of Learning (ASOL) and demonstrated proficiency in Communication Skills assessed across environments, context, socialization, settings, and supports.
