Any clothing
that interferes with or disrupts the educational environment is unacceptable.
Clothing with language or images that are vulgar, discriminatory,
or obscene, or clothing that promotes illegal or violent conduct,
such as unlawful use of weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or drug
paraphernalia, or clothing that contains threats such as gang symbols
is prohibited.
Tops/Blouses:
- No low-cut necklines that reveal cleavage
- No halter tops
- No tube tops
- No thin or spaghetti straps
- No backless blouses or blouses
with only ties in the back
- No see-through materials
- No tops that expose undergarments
- No tops that expose midriffs
- No tops that are otherwise sexually
provocative
- No fish net tops or tank tops without sleeves
or with large arm openings
Pants/Skirts/Shorts:
- No underwear visible
- No private parts visible
- Shorts/skirts – long enough
to reach fingertips when arms are held on the side of the legs
- Pants
should be secured at the waist/hips
- No baggy jeans or pants
that drag on the floor
Shoes:
- Shoes must be worn at all times
- The fit and style should be appropriate for school
Accessories:
- No headgear (hats, scarves, bandanas or ear covers) unless
required for medical or religious reasons
- No sunglasses (unless
prescribed)
- No gloves
- No towels/shirts and other like items may be
draped over the shoulder or around the neck
Procedure for Students Dressed Inappropriately:
- Student will be told to adjust clothing if possible.
- Student
will be required to put on additional or alternative clothing
if they have it.
- Student will be sent to sub-school administrator
and required to call parent or guardian to bring alternative
clothing or go home.
- Repeated offenses will be viewed as insubordination and
will result in disciplinary action.
