Volleyball Team Plays for State Championship
Congratulations to coach Dave Prahl and the Volleyball team as they won Thursday night in the state semi-final over Cox High School. The volleyball team will play for the state championship on Saturday at 2:30 in the Siegel Center in Richmond.

FBLA Project ASK Gift Card Drive
The Future Business Leaders of America is collecting gift cards to donate to Project ASK. Project ASK is the Association for the Support of Children with Cancer. They work with MCV hospital to collect items for children and teenagers with cancer. The drive will begin November 12 and end November 27. Suggestions for donations include gift cards from the following businesses: Wal-mart, Target, Burger King, Kohl's, Starbucks, I-tunes. A $5-$20 range would be appreciated. Bring your gift cards to your 2nd period teacher. Help bring a smile to a sick child's face this holiday season.

South County Virtual Book Fair
The South County PTSO will be sponsoring an on-line “virtual” Book Fair throughout the 2009/2010 school year. Available books include SAT/ACT Prep Books, AP test prep books, recommended reading titles, gift books, etc. Books can be delivered directly to school (free shipping and handling when delivered directly to SCSS). SCSS Delivery Dates for the remainder of 2009 are as follows: Orders placed by 9/21 will be delivered 9/30. Delivery to SCSS 10/30 – orders in by 10/21. Delivery to SCSS 11/30 – orders in by 11/20.
