Construction of the Colin L. Powell Elementary School began in summer 2002. Despite the harsh winter we have experienced, the building opened as scheduled on September 2nd 2003.

The color scheme for the first floor classrooms (counter tops and accent pieces) is light blue. Similar features in the second floor classrooms are spruce green.

Our building has 36 indoor classrooms, 8 modular classrooms, a state-of-the-art computer room, beautiful gym and cafeteria facilities, as well as a number of open pod areas to accommodate the exciting instructional activities that are available to the students.
