PLA COMPASS is an online publication which focuses on the goals of FCPS as well as professional development opportunities. Our goal is to provide Direction, Instruction, and Inspiration for administrators, teacher leaders, and school teams within FCPS, bring clarity and connection to the existing PLA leadership programs, and serve as a connecting point for leaders throughout FCPS. The PLA COMPASS is published twice a year – Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer. The Instruction section includes the Leadership Seminars which are professional development opportunities designed for school-based and central office administrators, teacher leaders, and school teams. The seminars are designed to support the work of individuals striving to meet FCPS Student Achievement goals. All Leadership Seminars are led by colleagues and consultants and are grounded in the FCPS Leadership Standards. Seminars which are a minimum of 5 hours in length are eligible for points under Option 8 of the Virginia Recertification Regulations.
