Earn credit toward your high school degree: Summer Online Campus, term graduate, and SOL remediation and testing.

Summer Enrichment Programs

Choose from a variety of noncredit programs and camps for kindergarten through high school.

Summer Enrichment Programs

Fashion Camp—is for students in grades K-8. Fashion campers will explore fashion trends and create their own personally-styled outfits, jewelry, and accessories that they’ll model in their own fashion show.  For more information, call 571-423-4599.

Institute for the Arts (IFTA)—is a unique academic program for students in grades 6-11 that provide enrichment in the visual and performing arts. For more information, call 571-423-4530.

Elementary Institute for the Arts (E-IFTA)—is a unique academic program for students in grades 3-5 that provides enrichment in the visual and performing arts. For more information, call 571-423-4530.

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Camp—The initial one-week session is full, but a wait list is available for students in grades 3-5 to explore science and mathematics related concepts through hands-on engineering activity.  Students will use problem solving, creative thinking, and various technologies to create engineering solutions to challenges given them.  For more information, call 751-423-4591.

Tech Adventure Camp—is designed to give students in grades 5-7 the opportunity to explore careers and technology as they rotate through eight areas over a two-week program.  For more information, call 571-423-4502.

ESY Learning Communities—The Department of Special Services offers the Extended School Year (ESY) program for identified students with disabilities in grades K-12 in accordance with their individualized education programs (IEPs).  For more information, call 571-423-4190.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Online Course—offers middle and high school ESOL students an opportunity to continue developing their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills in an online classroom environment with an ESOL teacher. Through a combination of daily online synchronous instruction and independent study, this engaging course will provide challenging thematic lessons with a focus on improving reading comprehension and writing. Bus transportation will be provided from base schools. This is a noncredit course. For more information, call 571-423-4676 for middle school ESOL or 571-423-4679 for high school ESOL.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Math Course - The ESOL mathematics course provides FCPS high school ESOL students the opportunity to build on the necessary math skills needed to be successful in Algebra 1.  Students will meet face-to-face with their teachers daily.  Through this three-week course, students will continue developing mathematic proficiency with a focus on the real number system and its properties through the study for variables, expressions, and equations.  This is a noncredit course. Adult and Community Education (ACE) Enrichment Programs—offers half-day, elementary world language classes and noncredit enrichment programs for students in middle and high school to strengthen academic skills or pursue personal interests. Programs include Foreign Language Experience Program (FLEX), enrichment (TJHSST Admissions Test Prep, SAT test prep, and study skills), and Driver Education (behind-the-wheel, classroom driver education, partners for safe teen driving, and practice for new drivers).

Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST) Summer Tech Institute—is for students in grades 7-8 who are interested in exploring science and technology.  Students are introduced to the excitement and possibilities that exist in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through a week-long learning opportunity that allows students to explore a STEM topic of interest.  For more information, 703-750-8300.
