Retirement Ceremony to Be Broadcast Live on Red Apple 21

Linda Burke and Barbara Hunter Named Assistant Superintendents
Superintendent Jack D. Dale has named Linda
Burke, principal of Lake Braddock Secondary School since 1997 and an FCPS employee since 1973, as the new
assistant superintendent for Cluster VII, effective October 25. Burke replaces Peter Noonan, who has been appointed assistant superintendent for instructional services.
Dale has also named Barbara Hunter as the new assistant superintendent for communications and community outreach, effective November 19. This is a new position. Hunter will be responsible for managing the school system’s communications, community relations, business relations, and parent and family involvement functions and will also support Fairfax County School Board members in their linkages to stakeholders.
