* Eileen Murphy, art teacher at Herndon High, has been elected to the Greater Reston Art Center’s (GRACE) board of directors. The organization also recognized Katie Abruzzino, kindergarten teacher at Wolftrap, for her volunteer work.

* Liz Dilley, art teacher at Robinson, has been selected to participate in the USA Rugby Women's National Team's (WNT) England Tour. The members of the WNT pool are the elite female rugby players in the United States. From this pool of players, the WNT coaching staff will select players for upcoming international matches and ultimately will select the squad for the 2010 Women's Rugby World Cup.

In December the WNT will depart for the premier 2007 international event.  The team will travel to England for a ten day, three match tour playing two international test matches against England RFUW and one match against the London Irish.
